National September 11 Memorial Museum

The largest loss of life from an attack on American soil occurred on September 11, 2001. The National September 11 Memorial and Museum rests on the authentic footprints of the World Trade Center towers, 70 feet below a Memorial located at plaza level.

The Museum tells the stories of that unprecedented day, memorializing the victims of the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and near Shanksville Pennsylvania. Thinc worked to design exhibits as part of an ongoing story, leaving room for new chapters as the meaning of that day continues to evolve. The Museum enables visitors to better know their own experience of the event and the world that has emerged out of it. In creating a community of witness, it provides a space for visitors to gain empathy for others' perspectives and to reflect on our global community.
