Discovery Center
Located in rural northwestern Tennessee, The Discovery Center at Discovery Park of America offers learning and recreational experiences rarely available outside of big cities. Discovery Park of America was the vision of Robert Kirkland, who had sold his retail chain and wanted to bring his experience of seeing the world back to the people of his home town. The Center's nine exhibition galleries include natural history, regional history, space science, alternative energy, military history, and Native American cultures. Signature exhibits include an earthquake simulator, an interactive 'starship' digital planetarium, a secret vault that houses treasures from around the globe, and a giant slide-through human body.
Thinc entered the project in partnership with Maltbie and Verner Johnson and Associates.
